Sunflower Seed Spread

This mild spread is perfect on crackers, especially veggie or flaxseed. This is more of a Pâté.


Recipe makes about two cups, and will keep in fridge for a couple weeks.

  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • 2 Cups Sunflower Seeds
  • 1/2 Cup Walnuts
  • 1/3 Cup Hemp Oil
  • 1/4 Cup Orange Juice
  • 1 Tsp Sea Salt


Put all ingredients into a Blender or food processor, and process until well blended and smooth. (Small ninja is good for this job)

Suggested Alternatives

Some other suggested additives, to spruce this up.

  • Nutritional Yeast (To give a cheese flavor)
  • Tamari Sauce (To give it a salty, unique flavor)
  • Diced Green Onions
  • Red Pepper Powder or Flakes
  • Small Amount of Sesame Oil

Any any one of the above are delicious. (Or all of them, which I've done)
